Liu,Yi(Amy) was born Feb 25,2009,she began studying piano at the age of five both in China and USA. At this moment,she studies piano at Colburn Community School of Performing Arts under pianist Dr.Inga Kapouler Gartner,in the meaning time,she got a lot of guidance from Yamaha Artist Piano Professor Inna Faliks at UCLA,she also studies piano with pianist You Yang from Central Conservatory of Music,Piano School at Gulangyu during her stay in China.
Her recent successes include the first palce winner at MTAC(Music Teachers’ Association of California) Piano Concerto Southern California Regional Competition 2019; the second place winner at MTAC Piano Concerto Competition State Finals 2019; the first place winner at 57^th SYMF(Southwestern Youth Music Festival,Los Angeles,USA) Piano Concerto Competition,she performed Mozart Piano Concerto K467 with festival orchestra at Festival Young Musicians Winners’ Concert; the first palce winner(Children’s group A) at 2017 China-ASEAN Youth Piano Competiton in Nanning,China; the first place winner(children ‘s group C) at 2018 Franz Liszt International Youth Piano Fujian Regional Competiton; the first palce winner at Singapore International Piano Competition 2020 Fujian Regional Competition (Children Group D and Youth Performer Group).
Her favorite composer is Mozart,she loves swimming,reading and spending time with friends and family.
